Summary:It has been decided to grant the employees addressed by the provisions of the Labour Law promulgated by Law No. 14 of the year 2025, an official paid holiday on Thursday, the twelfth of Rabi' Al-Awwal, 1447 AH, corresponding to the fourth of September, 2025 AD, on the occasion of Al Mawlid Al Nabawi (the Celebration of Prophet Muhammad's Birth). However, the employer shall have the right to require the worker to work on this day, where the exigencies of work so require. In such case, the worker shall be entitled, in addition to his wage for that day, to double that wage, or to another day off in lieu thereof, based on a written request submitted by the worker and kept in his personal file. Accordingly, the Heads of the Central Departments at the Ministry’s Headquarters and the Directors of Labor Directorates, each within their respective jurisdictions, shall take the necessary measures to circulate the provisions of this circular at workplaces and production sites to work accordingly, and ensure their enforcement.
